Photography has been a means for me to explore ideas of identity and gender. Through extensive self-portraiture, photographs of a female model, and a drag queen friend, along with mannequins and storefronts, I investigate notions of gender, masquerade, and disguise. Themes such as spirituality/religion, transformation, absence/presence and obsession are present in this body of work.

A second body of work is entitled "portraits." Whether a portrait is inventing a fiction or telling me facts about my subject, the elements in use are: facial expression, vantage point, body posture, clothing, props and background.
